Riley has always had a passion for travel. Through her high school band program she had the opportunity to travel to Japan twice, and in university she spent two months living in Spain while on an archaeology dig. She grew up with two master SCUBA divers as parents, so she was excited to earn her PADI open water diving certification in Bonaire in 2017. In 2019 she spent a month at a Japanese Language School in Tokyo, before flying down to Bangkok and travelling around South East Asia for a month.

In addition to international travel, Riley grew up riding horses, and has spent the last few summers showing draft horses across the United States and Canada.

Riley grew up in northwest Washington State, but currently calls Calgary, Alberta Canada home.
